Insurance – Please ask for a copy of our insurance verification which includes Contractors All Risk, Employers and Public/Product Liability. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to answer your questions.
Contract – we have our own version of the JCT Minor Works Contract but are also happy to use one of the industry standard JCT forms.
Health and Safety – the industry has a poor track record in health and safety. Our experience will ensure your project complies with all relevant health and safety plans. This starts from carefully considering the project at an early stage by means of a Construction Phase Plan in accordance with the latest CDM regulations.
We endeavour to keep members of the public and neighbours fully aware of the project and issue newsletters to nearby residents advising them of progress and completion dates. We also work with the neighbours to keep them advised on likely noise levels.
Onsite, all staff are fully trained to operate relevant machinery safely and understand the specific safety requirements of a subterranean construction site. SAB Projects ensures that all sites are managed safely according to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work (Amendment) Regulations 2006 and the The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
Other insurance – Please ask us about non-negligence insurance (also known as 6.5.1 insurance) and insurance backed guarantees.
Operations and Maintenance Manual – At completion of all basements projects, we will provide a membrane guarantee, installation guarantee (as approved installers – this can be further supported by insurance cover if required –please note that the period of guarantee is normally up to 10 years and there is a small premium required for this facility), building regulations certificate, practical completion certificate, together with a photographic record of the project.
